Find Leads
Find Leads searches for real local businesses — and the people who run them. You fill in a short form (what kind of business, where), and you get back a list of businesses you can review, tag, and import as contacts. Alongside each business, Find Leads also looks for its decision-makers: owners, founders and managers, with their role, their LinkedIn profile, and — where one can be confirmed — a verified work email address.
Find Leads is part of the Champions Circle. If you’re a member it’s already in your sidebar, with nothing to request. Agencies in the Circle can switch it on for an individual client too: open the client’s Edit Sub-Account window and turn Find Leads on under Features. See Champions Circle.
:::
Leads you find are inert. Importing them creates ordinary contacts with no bot attached, no campaign, and nothing sent. Nothing goes out until you decide to send it.
Running a search
Open Find Leads in the sidebar and fill in the form.
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Keyword | The kind of business you want, in plain words: dentists, wedding photographer, accounting firm. |
| Country | Required. Town names repeat around the world, so this keeps the search inside the country you meant. |
| City | The city or town to search in. |
| Area / street / postcode | Optional. Narrows the search to a neighbourhood, street or postcode — Jordaan, Keizersgracht, 1015. |
| Extra keywords | Optional. Added to the search as-is. Anything that narrows down the kind of business you want: vegan, 24/7, luxury. |
| Max leads | Your spend cap. You’re charged 0.25 credits per lead that comes back with contact details — leads without any are free — so this is the most a search can cost you. |
| Contact details | Which leads are kept: any, email, phone, email + phone, or a social profile. Find Leads always looks for every contact detail; this only decides which leads make the list. You’re never charged for a lead without any. |
Press Search. The first businesses appear quickly, then contact details fill in row by row as each website is checked. A large search keeps widening the area on its own until it reaches your cap, so there’s no “load more” to keep clicking.
You can only run one search at a time. If you want to stop one, press Reset: the search stops for real, and anything already found stays in Saved Leads.
Decision-makers come with every search
Every search also looks for the people behind the businesses — owners, founders, and managers. When a person can be matched to a business in your results, they appear in that business’s Key persons column with their name, role, and a link to their LinkedIn profile. People who clearly belong to your search but couldn’t be matched to a specific business in the list show up as their own rows, so you don’t lose them.
For the most likely decision-makers, Find Leads also works out their work email address and checks it against the company’s mail server before showing it. Each email carries a status so you know exactly what you’re looking at:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Verified | This work email is confirmed as a real, active mailbox. |
| Unverified | Our best guess at their work email. It couldn’t be checked, so treat it as unconfirmed. |
| Catch-all | The company’s mail server accepts any address, so the guess couldn’t be confirmed or ruled out. |
| No email found | The usual work-email patterns for this company were tried and none of them exist. |
| Not checked | Nothing to work from — no company domain, or a personal mailbox provider. |
Not every business yields a named person, and not every person yields a verified email — that depends on how visible the company and its people are online. Well-established businesses with their own website and LinkedIn presence do best.
Saved Leads
Every lead you find is kept in Saved Leads, across all your searches. This is where you work through them.
You can star the ones worth chasing, add tags, move a lead through your own stages, add custom fields, and export the list to CSV — the export includes each lead’s key persons and their emails.
The Searches button lists every search you’ve run, with what each one found and the credits it used. Click a search to see just its leads in the table behind it — a pill above the filters shows which search you’re looking at, and its × (or the All filter) brings every lead back. From the same list, Find more looks in nearby areas and for similar terms to grow that search, and CSV exports only that search’s leads.
Importing leads as contacts
Select the leads you want and choose to import them. You’ll be asked to put them in a contact list, either an existing one or a new one you name there and then.
Imported leads become normal contacts with no bot, no campaign and nothing sent. If you later want to message them, you do that yourself from Contacts or a broadcast, exactly as with any other contact, and normal messaging rules apply.
Credits
You are charged 0.25 credits for each lead that comes back with at least one contact detail (an email, a phone number, or a social profile — a verified decision-maker email counts too). A few more consequences worth knowing:
- A lead with no contact details at all is never charged.
- A business you already have from an earlier search isn’t saved or charged twice.
- Re-running an older search doesn’t add decision-makers to the businesses you already own. The people found by the re-run appear as their own rows instead, and those rows are new leads, so they’re charged like any other lead with contact details.
- The Max leads cap is the ceiling on what one search can cost you.
- Sometimes a search returns a few extra leads beyond your cap. Those are free.
- Decision-makers and email verification are included — they don’t cost extra.
Your balance and history are on the Billing System page.
Good to know
- Contact details come from each business’s own website. No website usually means no email, though the phone number is often still there. In markets where small businesses run on social pages instead of websites, expect more phone numbers and fewer emails.
- Decision-maker coverage varies by market. Businesses whose owners are on LinkedIn are found far more reliably than ones with no online presence beyond a listing.
- Contact people responsibly. These are real businesses and real people who haven’t asked to hear from you. Local marketing and anti-spam rules still apply, and so do the rules of whichever channel you message them on.
