When you log in to DM Champ for the first time, a step-by-step setup wizard appears on your dashboard. It walks you through everything you need to do to get your account ready so you can start messaging customers.


How the Setup Wizard Works

The wizard shows a checklist of setup tasks in the order you should complete them. Each task builds on the one before it.

Tracking Your Progress

As you finish each task, it gets checked off and the progress bar at the top updates. You can see exactly how far along you are and what is left to do. The wizard stays on your dashboard until you complete every task, so you can come back to it anytime.


What the Wizard Asks You to Do

The wizard guides you through these tasks (the exact list may vary depending on your plan):

  1. Complete your profile - Add your name and verify your email address.

  2. Connect a messaging channel - Buy a phone number, connect WhatsApp Web, or link your Facebook and Instagram accounts.

  3. Create your first campaign - Set up a campaign with your business details. A campaign is how DM Champ organizes your messaging and AI bot.

  4. Add your website or sales pages - Paste your website URL so DM Champ can read your site and automatically write bot instructions for you.

  5. Review your AI bot - Look over the instructions DM Champ generated and adjust them to match your brand voice.

  6. Add FAQs - Enter your most common customer questions and their answers so the bot responds accurately.

  7. Send a test message - Try messaging yourself through one of your connected channels to make sure everything works.

  8. Invite team members (optional) - Add colleagues to your workspace so they can help manage conversations.


How Website Analysis Works

One of the most useful parts of onboarding is the website analysis feature. When you paste your website URL or sales page links, DM Champ:

  1. Reads the content from your pages.

  2. Figures out what your business does, what you sell, and how you describe your products or services.

  3. Writes bot instructions tailored to your business.

  4. Suggests FAQs based on the information found on your site.

This means you can have a working AI bot in just a few minutes - without writing instructions from scratch. You can always edit and improve the results later.


Tips for a Fast Setup

  • Have your website URL ready. The website analysis saves you a lot of time writing bot instructions and FAQs.

  • Start with one channel. Pick the channel your customers use most (usually WhatsApp or Instagram). You can add more channels later.

  • Use the auto-generated instructions as your starting point. Read them, make a few tweaks, and go live. You can keep refining based on real conversations.

  • Add at least 5-10 FAQs. These make the biggest difference in your bot's accuracy. Focus on the questions customers ask most often.

  • Test before going live. Send yourself a message so you can experience the bot from your customer's perspective and catch anything that needs fixing.


Coming Back to the Wizard

If you close the wizard before finishing, do not worry - it will appear again on your dashboard the next time you log in. All your completed tasks stay checked, so you pick up right where you left off.

Once you finish every task, the wizard disappears and your dashboard switches to the full analytics view.
