Here's how to connect and manage DM Champ with Facebook Messenger and Instagram DMs:

Connection Setup:

  1. Go to Settings > Account

  2. Look for Facebook and Instagram section

  3. Click to connect

  4. Follow the Facebook sign-in process:

    • Log in with your personal Facebook account

    • Select your business portfolio

    • Choose your linked Facebook page

    • Select your Instagram profile Note: Your Facebook page and Instagram profile must be linked together

Initial Setup Notes:

  • You may see a "create event data set" prompt - just click continue

  • If you get an error message saying "something went wrong":

    • Go back one step and try again

    • If that doesn't work, close and restart the connection process

Managing Message Handling: There are two ways to handle incoming messages:

  1. Full Automation:

    • By default, DM Champ will handle all messages automatically

    • Messages from both platforms will be managed within DM Champ

  2. Selective Automation: To control which messages get automated responses:

    • Create an incoming campaign with AI mode disabled for general messages

    • Set up keyword-triggered campaigns for specific promotions Example: Set up "discount10" as a keyword - only messages containing this exact phrase will trigger the automated response

    • You can keep AI mode on or off depending on your preferences

Tips:

  • For general messages, you can disable AI mode to manually handle responses

  • Use keywords to trigger specific automated campaigns

  • You can have multiple campaigns running simultaneously for different purposes

  • Select the appropriate account if you have multiple connected profiles

Remember to save your settings after making any changes to ensure the connection is properly established.
